STARKE, born in Mobile, AL., 14th April, 1943, the 4th child of George Richardson Irvine and Lucille Starke. Starke was a graduate of Saint Mary's Elementary School, Mobile, AL. in 1957. He then attended McGill Toolen Institute in Mobile and graduated in 1961. After High school he attended Marion Military Institute, Marion, AL in 1961 and 1962. Moving towards bigger goals, he attended the University of Alabama and graduated in 1965 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Finance with an Option in Real Estate. He was also an initiated member of Delta Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. He married the former Sallie Anne Kettig on September 18, 1965 in Birmingham, Alabama. Anne is the daughter of William Henry Kettig Jr. and Sallie Kate Carmichael of Birmingham.
